yes not much on the maker except they are French,,and seems they been making jewelry a very long time.. Interesting is the 'AM' on their pieces usually means for the 'American Market'!
Not much is known surprisingly about this maker,,strange.

Wow, a rare ring for sure!! So in 39,, did it just happen to close down,,or was it destroyed or because of the war?

With the detail worn down it reminds me of nosferatu opening his door (picture courtesy of disneys haunted mansion)...gottlieb, it's an awesome ring! The wife and I have just been watching too much "true blood" lately,
Great catch,

School was closed in 1939 because of the war. Till today there are buildings and a famous garden with monuments of Polish national heroes.

Thanks Gaspare I'm trying to do my best. Once promised to myself to focuse only on WESTWALL and TOTENKOPF rings but Polish rings are also interesting (not only military). For instance I have this one. It is 100 ywaers anniversary ring of WTC (Warsaw Bicycle Assotiation). It was formed in 1886 and the ring is dated 1986. Here is some info about WTC (polish unfortunetly only but a lot of nice period pictures): http://www.wtc.waw.pl/

That's a really nice one too G.!

So the last is 81 and this 86.. In collecting your Polish rings its nice you have from many different time periods and all from the same country!.
Gives you the opportunity to study the different styles, materials, manufacture techniques etc. [Things we all should be doing with our German rings] wink..

Hi Gaspare, no markings at all. Agree nice piece to display ring.

In my opinion it is a new made brass cast. Late 1980 or early 1990.

Anyway for $20 it was worth :-).
