The listing is real amusing . Well at least since it is made in India when and IF the buyer finds out it is a cheap reproduction he can return it.. wink wink wink 14 days. Some people have tried to age the brass on these items.. By the way many have the same issue numbers stamped on them...I love it (unidentified) crazy crazy Nothing new here I guess.

A few websites that sell these Reproduction navy swords with scabbard Issue markings.. Before they are antiqued.. Many people have been fooled by these!!

Well said smile. It's been awhile since I've seen one, but some of the older Indian reproductions of 19th century EM swords were comparatively close copies of originals. Not perfect, but with artificial aging harder to tell that it was a repro. With the officer types easier to tell that it's modern if you've seen/handled an original. But as was mentioned, I've every so often seen repro's that with some "aging" have fooled quite a few guys including collectors who did not have enough of a hands on background. Caveat Emptor! Fred
