In answer to questions concerning the correct original mags for pre-1945 PPs/PPKs, the following two photos may be of assistance. Photo 1 shows the Walther banners commonly found on PP/PPK mags. The left banner is found on pre-war mags. The center banner is later and found on mags made prior to 1945. The right banner is only found on post war made mags. Photo 2 shows the common PPK finger rests (PP finger rests were produced in the same types but in black). The top three are the solid bottom type finger rests. The left is a very early type, and the right is the bottom mag release type. The bottom two are the walled type, thin wall on the left and thick wall on the right. The walled type can be found on late production PPKs in black with black grips. Anyone with additional information, please join in
