This is the second sword I am having troubles with an ID on. Never seen anything like this one?
Wood scabbard with heavy leather cover. Bone handle with chain?
Alex Coppel marked on blade on one side and some kind of mark on other side of blade.
Shorter sword almost 27 inches. couple marks on outside of crossgaurd.
fantasy piece, real I do not know.
Any help would be appreciated on this one.

Looks like a little bit of folk art here ...Nothing standard here scabbard and hilt are all home made..

I'm inclined to agree with what James said above. Coppel had some 19th century export contracts, and the military style blade marking seems to be somewhat familiar. A conversion of an earlier sword-bayonet? Regards, Fred
