Here is an etched bayonet I have that I would like to know more about. What do you know about this etch type? Rarity and value? THANKS guys! Kevin.

I responded to this on WAF (sorry, and I really do prefer GDC to WAF).
I think this etch is fine and the fact that it does not have Gustav Spitzer's TM, only the word 'Solingen', is ok as well. A lot of edged weapons were made without maker mark for sale to uniform shops and distributors.
This is a hard to find etch and the fact that it is on a short blade makes it even more rare.

Nice bayonet. I have the same etch on a long blade. Mine has the Spitzer TM. I really like how large and deep the SOLINGEN name is stamped.

Thanks Terry, I think the deep stamping is very "Spitzer like" deep and clear like their maker mark..Kevin.
