Hi, I got a decent size grouping yesterday and in it is this HJ with a Cross where the swas should be.. Ist it period?
The rest of the knife is OK.. Lots of missing paint and missing throat runners in the scabbard.
Any comments?

The scabbard is postwar, so is the dagger.

I agree this is a postwar knife and scabbard. The scabbard has the tell-tale lip at the throat and looks to be made from an alloy, not steel.

An altered postwar knife with what looks like a glued emblem. That appears to be hand crafted. As to what it is supposed to represent - at the moment I don't have a clue. FP
