Hi, I need more information about this armband. I've been searching for a similar one on the internet, but I didn't find anything. Looking forward to your reply. Best regards, Winfried

This one I believe is a early version of the NSDAP Leaders armband. An unspecified system of bands was used as a form of rank. These bands of braid varied in number and width. The more bands the higher the rank. I can not comment on authenticity but would be sure you black light this one. Finally the new system of armbands came in with new regulations in 1938. As with many things this took a while to be implemented. Wien was not annexed till Mar 1938. Hope that helps. Paul

IMO a repro because there would not be a stamp on a pre 1933 political armband....

Stamp total nonsense. Actually white thread was used. Here is one from the estate of the PL in Germany. White thread is used on the stripe..... http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=474777&highlight=Early+ortsgruppenleiterI'll add the pictures for reference later. There is even a photo of the man wearing the armband.

Here they are....... Also note the different swastika material and the shape of the circle not being completely round from what we can see....
