The cap could be real, but would be pre-RZM and private purchase, perhaps in a country other than Germany. The insignia are replicas, according to the majority of conventional wisdom.

There are variations of these caps. I have seen at least one with this sort of visor. In the early days of the SS, standardization was spotty, at best. There were also SS units in other countries such as Holland, not all had access to German supplies. Even some German SS members wore unconventional gear. This cap is by no means the standard type. It might or might not be authentic. As seen here, most would be skeptical of it, including me. The old "hands-on" examination rule applies here. I certainly wouldn't pay a lot for it, and if and when you sell it, it will be met with skepticism again.
