Hi Zet. Talk about an Austria/Hungary dagger. Has parts of both. It does look like it would be modern.

Janos?

Cannot see any features of an Austrian/ dagger. But simply look the Nato symbol! for sure a modern feature.

Sorry guys, I haven't logged into the forum in the last few months, and I've noticed the topic just today. Unfortunately pictures have already gone on the link, so I can not comment the dagger.

Ted, your idea about a new designed dress dagger for the Hungarian AF is honourable, but quite unrealistic. smile

Yes, thats the reason why I am always against any links in the forum! Did state this several times without reaction. Now the thread is worthless thrash.

Ted,
thank you for the photos.
IMO it is a totally fantasy dagger, moreover it one of the ugliest dagger I have ever seen.

Scabbard, crossguard are known fantasy pieces, pommel is from the M1925 AF, gilded blade: all in all it looks terrible.
And the NATO emblem: it is too much for me to bear! :-(
