can any of you fellows give me any info on this flare pistol. it has a proof mark that i have never run across. there is no maker mark. thanks paul

Paul,
These stainless flare pistols were made for the KriegsMarine. They came in single barrel and double barrel versions. Surprisingly, the single barrel one seems to a bit scarcer.
If memory serves, the proof is either for the city of Zella-Mehlis or for the Walther factory itself. I'll see if I can pin it down. Somebody else chime in and correct me if I'm wrong...
