Gents,

I picked up a nice Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS) Oberleutnant uniform last week that I thought I would show. This is circa 1960s I believe since it does not have the Bundesgrenzschutz arc over the sleeve eagle. Earlier circa 1950s tunics of this type did not have collar tabs or the turn back French cuffs.

These BGS uniforms have become hard to get in recent years and generally have the insignia cut off or the garment slashed in order to prevent them being worn. This is a nice tailor made example made in officer quality smooth wool material.
