Pictures would help identify and judge it.
If you want to criticise someone first walk a mile in their shoes. Then, when they come after you, you'll be a mile ahead and they'll be barefoot.

Beautiful specimen and 100% original of course. Never seen a RAD Leader produced by Puma before, a keeper for sure.

You know its allways better to have something to compare with.
Hope someone opens his "box of pandora" and shows another one.

That is the first I've seen by Puma. Sometimes that is all you will ever see. Just goes to show the high "attrition rate" that our hobby has suffered through. Since we can safely assume this being a production item, that Puma just didn't make one or a handful. So where are the rest? It appears that the records of Puma did not survive the war. There was only one or two Puma's found on a SS dagger. Dave H. has one of those. Wonderful score there complete with nice hangers. -Congrats! -serge-

Hey, everybody. Dear colleagues, I apologize for my English and for bringing up the topic of ten years ago. The point of my question is, did anyone else have this manufacturer? In this book, Fisher.R.& R.NS Dagger Maker Trademarks, this manufacturer is not listed as such what these daggers were made. This dealer has a Unter. http://www.johnsonreferencebooks.com/shop/third-reich-rad-em-hewer-30218/ Can someone explain how that can happen? Best regards Vitaly

Hello alien, as in all books, which can be very helpful, there are also mistakes inside. PUMA is a well known maker for RAD Unterfuehrer- and Mannschaftshauer (and also leader hewers). I do have several in my files. Regards,

The PUMAs, as some others, always did come without the RADL triangle mark but are without any doubt period done. Regards,

Beautiful Puma example Wotan. Odd how this and some others (CJ Krebs comes to mind) didn't have the RAD triangle.

Very nice, Paul.
2-3 years ago Brian Maederer had an all-aluminum RAD leader ... except for the blade, grip plates, screws and maybe a scabbard spring.

I remember someone maybe 10 years ago, might have been Johnny V., had a Holler RAD Leader that had ivory grip plates. That's something I haven't seen before or since.

Hello gents, I have seen the obove mentioned makers and even more eg. A.EVERTZ, KARL TIEGEL, VOOS, P.WEYERSBERG, KRONECK (WITTE), ANTON WINGEN Jr. They are all nice, collectible and seldom to see but -for collector s heavens sake- who want to collect RAD leaders per makermark??? In 99,9% the fittings and scabbards are from only two manufacturers and only the various mms do add a nice feature. And don t mix up leader hewers and men/NCO hewers because not each mm which can be found on leader hewers can be found on men/NCO hewers and vice versa. Regards,
wotan, gd.c-b#105
