Found this at the last Max show, I was extremely lucky to have been invited up to a collectors room, wasn't to sure what I was going to find but when I laid my eyes on this piece I just knew I had to have it, early Ivory slant grip Puma.

This is a beautiful dagger! Obviously a professional made slant ivory grip. First I see this way. I do like it much more than the sometimes "homemade" looking (but also extremely rare) examples I have already seen. The ivory structure within the grip is to die for! And the patination of the dagger, all makes me now speechless! Regards,

Gary what a beautiful and rare dagger. The grip is just fantastic not to mention coupled with the beautiful early hilt and scabbard. The crossguard as you probably know is the early rare type-1 generic you see on the early Puma slants. Wonderful dagger.

Such a rare piece Gary, I was really pleased just to hold it! Very correct too, known fittings on initial production Puma's. Only ever seen one other SLANT ivory, can't remember who owned it though, believe it was a WKC. Congrats!! Kevin.
It's ALL in the DETAILS!!.......

Thanks guys, it was not cheap but a must have piece for me, sometimes it's about stepping up to the plate, it's something I'm going to enjoy looking at for a very long time. The graining in the Ivory is stunning and is amongst the best I have.
Cheers
Gary

Top notch addition Gary. That piece just takes the breath away. Worth the trip just for that one army dagger alone.
