Looking at these pictures makes me sorry I did not go to the Max.
Nice display of non "German daggers.
I am not sure what the emblem on the Royal Yugo Army dagger is suppose to represent.
I know that some daggers had the croation emblem placed there. But I have not seen a crown used in his manner.

There were, compared to previous years, quite a few non-German daggers. TW even had a case full. Sorry but I did not take pictures.

Ted, I am far from the expert. I have been fortunate to be able to communicate with and ask the experts their advice, including you.
As you say, the normal is the Royal Yugo Army, I have only seen two of the Serb. But, with different politics in charge, people often changed current offensive symbols into something more acceptable. I would not question the authenticity of this piece. Whatever was there, I believe the original owner probably had this done.
After all, if I was going to "dress up" this dagger, I would use the much more desirable Serb emblem.
Tom W has always had a great display. I will always kick myself for not buying his Latvian Dagger when it was right in front of me.
Both Tom's have added numerous non German daggers to their offerings.

Great picture of my older brother Dave. PS - It was warm in the front room but colder than a well diggers wallet in the back, hence the hoody

It looks like Tom J has the same makeup man as did Lenin, non John.
Paul, thank you for posting these photos. I checked, and one of my daughters has moved to Virginia which is within driving distance of the MAX. Hopefully I can schedule a visit and trip to the show to see you guys again.
Beautiful examples of daggers coming available.
