Hi, please could someone give me a rough value on this bayonet i have recently found out that the etching was added after the war so it`s not a rare piece like i first thought, with not managing to find one in any a referance book? also how much should i expect to pay for a scabbard. thankyou for any help & advice you may give

Fakes originating out of England in the 70's or before they were all over in the early 80's well known fake. Service s84/98 were not etched they were not allowed to be Gov't property to say. timothy

Even with a matching scabbard, it won't be worth much. I'd say save your $$ for something real.

Well known fake etch, what for marking is on the bayonet S84/98, maker, serial numbers, date.thanks.
