Please would someone give me any information on this helmet in my opinion(terrible paint job)
The only information i can give is that it has a number inside the helmet so i presume it may be original?
any other information would be much appreciated.

It's probably a size 64 shell (M16 German helmet). The paint job is unfortunately not original to this lid (as you already know).
What are the marks on the inside of the shell?
