As many of you know I collect armbands so I figure I would post a group photo of all of them with the exception of my DW armband together. Thanks again Rick for finding me the recruiter!

Wow you are off to a great start. All nice original pieces. Glad I could help. I'll keep my eyes open in my area for other nice examples. All the best in your collecting endeavors.
Best regards

I should mention that my idea of armbands stated back in April when I got my first 2 NSDAP which is the printed and the very sloppy construction one. I had the DW one but just saw it and bought it. Thanks for keeping your eyes open Rick!

I have changed the display to riker cases instead of a binder so I will take a few pictures soon. Most likely on Monday or something and hoping to add a few pieces this weekend laugh

I put some moth balls under the base material of the case. Is there any other way to keep the moths gone without ruining the armbands? The moth balls just stink lol Thanks to all the compliments....

Thanks for the compliment Ed. Just figured I would add that I am looking for any unusual armbands. If it isn't ok for me to add this then you can remove this post.

Interesting concept making a collection of armband. I only thought of them for enhancing display. Nice work!

Interesting groupings in the 3 Ryker Mounts
You do know those poker chips are not TR or even German in origin,?but early USA *Good Luck* themed.

Yes I know about the poker chips. I got them at first thinking they were german but learned fast that they weren't. I believe they were first produced in 1856 up until the 1920's. They still make a nice display IMO so I'll keep them there until I get something else to fill it up lol. I still have American stuff but will add that to a different thread as it is not german militaria. Thanks for the compliments guys btw. smile

Kyle,
It has really been impressive to watch your collection and level of knowledge of armbands grow. over such a short period of time. You will quickly become the resident armband expert if you aren't careful. Wonderful collection. The best armband collection I have seen. Congratulations and thanks for showing it.
Best, Rick

Thanks Rick! My collection is pretty small compared to the other armband collectors I know. I probably have the smallest out of all of us haha. Nobody in the field of armbands can be an expert, as there is so many home made ones for so many organisations.

Hi Kyle, Can't find a yellow Wehrmacht armband for under $50! Lakeside has them for $69 but with shipping and handling it's well over $80! On Evilbay they go for $100... Damn, not easy to find them at a good price bro!
Nice collection you have there BTW! How many do you have right now?

Great collection, Kyles.

I managed to snag a new armband for my collection this summer while in Norway.

The normal Rikshird armband is a two piece construction, but I found a one piece with the design painted on instead of sewn on.

Here are pics of the new and the old.

Very cool variation John! Painted stuff is always cool to find, as it didn't hold up well through the years from what I've seen.

And yep, the new just forming collection. Only 2 pieces in there however are KdF, not enough to fill up the case so just put my other paper in there as well

KB, haven't heard anything about them being fantasy/fakes.. A white armband, some tank traps and a eagle. Been seeing them since the 70s. What do you have on them as far as being fantasy/fakes?
