What is a fair collector to collector asking price for a red metal Original Eickhorn tag in Exc. + condition, complete with paper insert and string?

The last time I looked, these things were going for about $500.

Any other opinions?

John,

I know you play with the E. Pack stuff a bit. Any ideas on the value of this?

Imo the assumed Price for a complete EICKHORN tag seems quite serious although I have seen them also go for even 700-750 USD.

I think PACK ones are much more rarer (but also less searched), I personally would see them between 500 - 600 USD.

Just my thoughts, regsrds,

Wotan:

You are correct, dealer prices for Eickhorn tags can run into the $700's, but the question was regarding collector pricing, I think.

Pack tags, while more rare, are still going for the $500's when you can find them.

Although, I would guess that a real Pack Man, like Stingray, may pay a little more wink

The last Eickhorn Tag I bought from another collector cost me $750, if anybody has them for sale at $500 then I'm in for all of them.

Cheers

You will find pack tags with a white metal also maybe its zink or something not sure. The original Packs blank waffen without the black back ground at one point I considered a bit more rare but over time I had began to see near equal amounts of both type. An eick tag at 500 or 550 with full paper quality insert is worth 750 any day. Remember people collect by type and eick is the most collected. Pack tags also can be found in a run of very long heavy strings the length is crazy long you will note this right off. Only seen 2 ever. Bret VanSant
