Vassago, first it is no Diplo dagger but commonly called a Gov dagger. To my best knowledge this certain mmakermark in details does correspond with the CURRENTLY used mm of WKC (the firm is still working) and does NOT correspond with any PERIOD mm of WKC. Generally WKC marks on Gov/Diplo daggers are spurious. Generally this dagger has a lot of signs that let me think it is a total (bad) fake. Other than the outer appearance nothing does correspond with doubtless III R Gov daggers. Regards,

The diplomat and governor daggers were manufactured only by Eickhorn and Alcoso. I think there aren't another manufacturer.

They can also be found with unmarked blades (no TM). This Diplomatic conforms to Alcoso build and method of internal marking of parts.

Barry Brown, a wonderful sample of an unmarked, ALCOSO credited diplomats dagger. Nice condition! Looks to be the proper small acorn portepee? Regards,

Thank you Wotan for your kind words. Yes, it does have the small acorn portepee. I purchased this near mint set at the Max Show in 1999. I attach a picture of the whole rig.
Regards Barry

Thank you for sharing this nice full rig. Just a small amout of wearing and age traces to show us that this piece has hidden some mystery of history but overall still wonderful condition. A pleasure for the eyes that tells us that not only marked daggers are desirable and collectible. Regards,
