i purchased a portepee for my Navy dagger. its driving me crazy trying to tie this on. i have searched forums, you-tube, seen many pictures. cannot solve this puzzle. it there a tutoral out there for a simpleton like me?

The "secret" is to tie the portepee backwards. This makes it a lot easier. Here are some pictures. I hope you will show us the dagger when you've managed to tie the portepee.
