Picked this up the other day with a 9th Armored Division group, any thoughts on wht this is for, national shooting competition? It was made by Deschler.

Your badge is from "Shooting Club Haeder," which was established in 1911, in Markt Dinkelscherben, Landkreis Augsburg. The distinctive blue/white colors easily identify the pin as stemming from the Bavarian region of southern Germany. The badge isn't for any specific competition or event per say, simply a nice example of a member's hat pin.
Often the dates on these types of badges are misinterpreted to mean the date of manufacture, when it's actually the founding date of the club. More than likely your example was produced in the late twenties or thirties. Great to see them when the fuzzy cotton material is intact and not too soiled, like this one.
