Here is a less commonly seen example from Luneschloss.
It has the evidence of a lot of period wear to the scabbard below the lower band with the knocks from wearing in close confinement "the bulkhead bash". And I suspect it had a bit of cleaning back in the day, as naval personnel are inclined to do with brass.

I have considered that this may be a Weimar dagger that has had a pommel replacement because the pommel is particularly well cast and has a much deeper wreath and legs than normally seen. It has a small split in the upper grip rib that may be explained by the need to align it if that is the case.

Anyway it is one of my favourite pieces regardless.

one of the best navy eagle pommel i've ever seen...sometimes seems a chicken...that's an eagle:)
