... nice set, I do appreciate blades in such good condition. The blade of an edged weapon is most important imo.

Thanks for showing.

THANKS Hermann.

Anyone like to try their "at two paces" Luft maker spotting abilities?? Good training for the shows!

Great daggers and great pictures too Kevin! I agree, this hobby is great.

Let me give it a try.
White grip in the midle: Alcoso
Ivory colour grip on the right: WKC
Dark red grip: Pack
Orange grip to the right: also Pack

I'm curious if I got anything right.

Pvon, Thanks for your support of my buffett! wink

dr73, You are doing good,50% isn't bad..center white grip is a Alcoso, cream on right is a WKC!

as per Pvon's request I will post closeups of the grips, this will give some good clues on the remaining makers! The grip pics will be posted left to right, starting on left and going right that is...

... last grip is great to look at, imitates ivory so nicely. Unfortunately this is something I miss in my own collection.

Again, thanks for sharing,

Tom, Well done, the 1st is a Klaas, the give away being the thin double twisted strands of aluminum wire used on all the examples I have seen by this maker. The 3rd is a C&J, using the "busy" three strands winded wire exclusive to them, and yes the 5th is Tiger, showing the 1st Luft-like two single strands bordering twin twisted strands only used by them and as far as I can tell, only on their initial offering!

Stingray, thanks for playing but this 2nd one is not an Eick.

Well, the 2nd dagger is the last unsolved Luft and this minty piece is a tricky one due to this maker usually being seen with "springy" wire. The only hint I will give has to do with the blade, it is: "unique crossgrain"...good luck! Kevin.
