Hey guys,
Did PD Luneschloss have more than one makers mark? What I mean is, did they ever have a stamped mark or one without the oval shape? If so, please could someone post a pic of it on an army dagger. Thanks in advance, Dion

Dion,
On the right of your screen is a panel called "Reference Library". Look at "Dagger Makers marks"

Here is a Luneschloss that I own with an early WKC 1st crossguard. I have never seen another army dagger with this trademark to date >

Dave Hi Dave, I did look on the side, but missed that thread?? Must`ve glanced over it? Thanks for pointing that one out. I checked out the maker marks but they seem to be all on SA or SS blades? Are the stamped versions of the trade mark rare on Army daggers? Personally, I`ve never seen one? Like mentioned before, could someone post a pic of the trade mark on an army dagger. I`d like to see the positioning of the stamped mark on the blade. Thanks Guys. DIon

Hi Degens,
Thanks mate, you must`ve been posting your answer as I was typing my post?? Weird! Thanks for that pic! It would seem to me that this trade mark is VERY scarce?? Yours is now the first one I`ve seen, apart from the one that has been offered to me! Prior to this, I`d NEVER seen one before. The one offered to me has an early Pack crossguard and early WKC scabbard. As soon as I have better pics I`ll post them.

1st Pack ?. Is it a slant grip or the later type?. It is certainly a scarce mark and appears to have only been used on the earliest army daggers released by the company. My blade is tapered although the grip is the type A. I do not remember seeing a slant grip dagger from Luneschloss although I could be wrong !.

Hi Degens, No, unfortunately its not a slant, but rather a type A grip. I haven`t got it yet and still in the process of purchasing it, but have requested more pics of the dagger. I have two pics available which I can add below. As you will see, its absolutely MINT and I`m really hoping to be able to do the deal? Looking at the pics cl, looks like an Eick scabbard to me? Dion

Thats a scarce maker mark I also have chatted with the seller. Other then the bottom of the scabbard being smashed up pretty good it looks to me to be a nice dagger. Certainly PD luneschloss earliest entries.

This one a little different to mine. The trademark on mine is stamped >
P.D Luneschloss Solingen
I would say due to the Pack 3rd crossguard and slight change in trademark that is was the follow up dagger from the company. Still early and scarce and very nice indeed. Here is the front of mine, this is without a doubt the blackest army I have ever owned, the patina is thick enough to feel with a finger nail.

Great looking scarce daggers! Like them both but must agree that Jon's looks early in comparison and what a patina!! Kevin.
