I'd like to show you two of my heer daggers by Horster. One early example with early fittings and big trademark. The other with a nice "glass" grip.

Nice conditiones daggers. The earlier has a WKC 2nd type x guard. Horster used WKC 1st prior to their own 1st type but I have not seen one with the WKC 2nd before. It is an unusal config.

The WKC 2nd is quite an uncommon type and unusually it is to be found more frequently on other manufacturers products than WKC. I had one on a Klaas dagger but parted it out because I wanted a Klaas with a Klaas x guard just as I would like to get a WKC with a 2nd type. Not much chance of that, I`ve seen 2 in the last 10 years!

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
I noticed it was the second type WKC crossguard too. I checked the great website wardaggers.com/Army_Daggers.htm for reference. I found that Hrster used four types of crossguards: WKC 1st, Hrster 1st, WKC 2nd and Hrster 2nd. I agree it's a crossguard you don't see too often.
