Last weekend a friend gave me the lot of S84/98 T3s pictured. Except for three Eickhorn military and one export contract, the rest are all "commercials". Several are Police accepted and one is a Reich Post. There is some pretty nice stuff and most of it is available...

Thanks guys. The friend I am selling them for likes nice stuff and paid accordingly, so wants same now that he is selling them. There were two pieces I am taking for myself. One is a Euf Horster "sword Dagger-H" in blue with a "Busse" marked, 1939 frog. He is keeping a hi-polish "blanko" with the identical frog. Both came from a collector whom acquired the pair from a Vet. The G.I. took the bayonets from a KZL as souvenirs, but I do not know which camp it was.

The other I am keeping is the factory nickle piece (shown laying crosswise). This is one of two such examples known (as I have the other, too!). Both are totally unmarked except the one I already had bears a "40" on the blade spine. The flash guard has also been removed. The hilt exhibits much wear on top of the T-slot, from the bayonet being mounted & removed from a rifle's bayonet lug. My belief is the flash guard caused too much glare to the rifleman when "presenting arms" with bayonet mounted, so it was removed. These two were undoubtedly a contract order for special honor guard duty...quite possibly for the Luftwaffe. The second example has old blue felt in both the T-slot and as a washer around the blade @ the base of the cross-guard. Most interesting is both examples were definitely made at the same time & by the same manufacturer.
