She wanted to know if we buy these things even though grandfather was jewish!
She sold it and kissed it!
I know about the story thing but my friend bought it and told me!
I took a fast few pics with bad overhead lighting!
Will do better but I can still share for now! I had to look and take photos of a load of bayos and things!

pvon, Joe, Looks like a list of battles the owner was in. I'm sure you guys know that many of the cities, towns and geographic landmarks mentioned in the First World War had their names changed, and then again after WWII, especially in Poland and the east. The battle at Stochod was in the summer of 1916, and caused the Russian army to lose so many men that capitulation wasn't far behind. That is one fine-looking EK, thanks for sharing it. Best! Bill

Bill
I looked up and found info on the Brussilow offensive and fighting on Styr and Stochod rivers!
A Bavarian officer from the 11th Bavarian Inf. Div described the fighting!
6 Times in one day the Russians tried to break through! They came like swarms of locusts.these Russians, column after column, big strong defiant men,the best of the Siberian legion. Up to their breasts in the water and swamp they waded, and for everyone cut down by the machine guns another one took their place! Time after timethey were ordered forward! bloody hand to hand combat! In front of us a field of bodies!
The reading on the internet! The soldiers burden! Holy cow the reading is something!
The Russian army sent 4 armies and was called on their end the Glorious 4th of June!
Bill I look at all the names and areas and must admit am clueless!
Nowy I see is polish! Can you make out the meaning of any more wording Bill!
You are a great help!
Thanks PVON
