What ever you want to call it. I see it here.
I know times are tough and so many other concerns enter in but I have logged on and noted in excess of 70 viewers on this forum. Over 70 viewers and no one can find something to comment on? None of those viewers has any thing new or old they could post?

Bull!

I figure since my name appears most on the end of these threads I was the last one with it so it's my fault.

Anyone with fresh ideas want to jump in here and give this forum a much needed jump start?

Having really small image limits puts me off posting, it takes too long messing around getting them small enough each time. Over on WAf its a lot easier....

I feel you Joe, this forum has had it's up and downs over the years, more downs than up's. We have had some good years in the past, what's to come I have no idea.
For me I've been busy with a new Granddaughter, remodleing a house and cleaning up the 30 acres that I have left. I hope that things pick up, hang in there you're the best.
P.S/ I also started drinking alot of rum in my spare time, time for another, cheers.

Sorry Joe.

As you know I have become rather narrow focused with my reaserch & collecting interests of late. Therefore I have not had much of interest to other collectors to post. I shall have a dig about & see if I have something to put up.

Cheers
Don

Too hard to post photos on this site. I was told last year it was going to change, but no?

I still post once in a while but like others have said the small photo size hampers us. In order to post here I have to resize the photos where all the other sites I use the same ones. Jim

Guys! Its not that the photo size is to small!

If you have adobe phote shop you just resize it! Then go to file and save to web makes big! You can make it big as a house! And way under size limits!

You are just missing a step! Ever see JR or others pics
and how big they are! Big as a buick!
Here is a pic under the size limits!

Here is a pic at 95kb well under the limit!

Looks big enough to me! Can still make it bigger!

You have something nice to show just send me pic to resize!

But its easy! Try it or ask for help! Doesn't take much and forum needs your stuff shown!

I have that program also, but the point of everyones (I think) is why the small amount. Why not make each photo limit 200kb but allow multiple uploads at the same time instead of having to reply to your original post just to post more photos. Jim

Hi

The last pic I posted is 95k and photo limit is 110 or 112 if it went to 200 I have to ask
just how big do you want it! It would be as big as a car! Why!

This site allows you to post 10 pics at a time! My goodness
thats superb!

Trust me I am dumb as a rock on tech stuff but Ed Sundays wife showed me a couple yrs ago the trick on bigger photo's!

Wouldn't take 5 min to show people in person!

Can you imagine Jon Fish and his bllood orders and things
with large pics! WhoA!!!! Send me pics and will show it!

Joe, You do a excellent job on site!

I just stay away from German badges and stuff when possible
because of ignorance of real! 40 yrs and its too much trouble
and fear of money loss onsomething due to hinge or such!

I would love to to look at Jon Fishs stuff or Erichs political etc! Thats artwork!

Not much excitement on ring mark of russian front or wound badge! But I understand why folks collect it!

Its like Rons daggers! Excitment on the super stufffrom 40 yrs ago! Just needs JR to photo it and make it come alive!

Could you imagine a Blood Order?

German Cross Or something like a Knights Cross!

Many of you have such items! You just can't take a pic!

The 5 mile space shot of a item! Get closer! Use crop function! Make pic bigger! Practice! Save it!

My camera is 10 yrs old and still haven't figured out how to turn flash off!

But you adapt and do what you can!

Help Joe out and post some goodies!

He is a good Moderator!

Some moderators are like blanks on bull! Worthless!

They do not create energy or inspire collectors!

Sadly they spend their time on other sites or if they can't make money or get stuff from collectors they disapear
like a old rug!

But maybe this site likes it that way!

Thanks for trying Joe!

Thanks Pvon for the kind and words and I will reconsider my earlier post which was too harsh. Joe does do a good job here and he does care which is unusual on this forum. I know that most don't collect Blood Orders and Coburg Badges due to their expense or interest but it just seems that when a rare or unusual piece is posted there is not much of a discussion or interest so guys like me move on to other forums where there is more interest on the items that we collect. Anyway, I'll post more of my pices in the near future.

Best, Erich

thanks Erich

I admit Blood Orders and Colburg badges are way out of my area
but as I read more about them I have become interested with collectors that have them!

Sadly its the info from another site that caught my attention!

Sometimes we have to start from the begining and learn something you political guys picked up early!

I know I would like to know so much more!

Learn why guys got attracted to these items and maybe other collectors would also!

I admit I liked pointy objects and headgear yrs ago!
So please post these objects of beauty and teach us why they were so important!

If we can get John Fish involved to share and John Pepera
to name a few!

We could unlock the secrets and darkness of these beautiful
items on this forum!

Joe needs all members pulling in his direction!

Lets reward hard work and effort!

You Gent's need to stop saying nice things about me. I do read these posts you know. blush

All of you who post and have shared so much from your fabulous collections are highly regarded and appreciated by me.

I don't know why we can't get discussions going on topics of interest. It is frustrating. On many topics my knowledge is limited so other than saying I admire the piece and offering profound thanks I rely on others to carry the conversation.

That's what I was getting at. I log on here (probably more often than is good for my sanity), and have seen up to 72 views on The Medals and Badges forum. As I type we have 15 viewing. Viewers, welcome. Jump in and share your thoughts and collections.
