Hello,
A couple of interesting German e-bay photos.
First a nice transition shot of a landespolizei with breast eagle sewn to his tunic.
Looks like a Tyrol shooting medal.

Great photos Bill. The Bavarian Lapo seems to have a Tyrol shooting medal attached to his marksmanship cord.

are You sure he is Bayerische Landespolizei?
I'm not familiar with Bayer. LaPo uniform regulations, but as far as I know no Schie�abzeichen were prescribed for them?

The shako is 100% Bavarian (Weimar area), so the officer is a Bavarian LaPo officer.

Hello,
I agree that the tschako plate seems to be Bayern. Perhaps the lanyard, along with the Tyrol shooting medal is from his shooting club and NOT an "official" part of the uniform, in this case worn for the photo. it seems he is wearing other pins and ribbons which do not correspond to any "official" police insignia.
