This one I found very little on. Manufactured by Weyersberg Kirschbaun & Co. No markings with the exception of the knight maker's mark and B.L.3.23 on the crosspiece. The scabbard is leather with nickel plated chape and locket.
This bayonet looks like it also served as a hammer. There are numerous nicks on the blade edges and point. The wood grip is banged up and the metal deformed on the mortise from impact. The press stud is frozen.
Blade length is 9 7/8", overall length length 14 3/4".
Can anyone provide any more data? Decipher the marking on the crosspiece? Thanks again for any info you can share.
You have a 71/84 Imperial area bayonet which the Bavarians used a lot. I think the unit mark is for an Bavarian/Bayerisches Luft-und Kraftahr or Air and Motorised Battalion.
