I saw this on the current auction, but man, I don't like it. The cross graining, the plastic grips, rivets, the diamond all look fake, and the quillion looks to have a seam. What's every one else think?

That was my first impression, when i saw first time last month.
The diamond vs grip is wrong for sure, maker mark is fake IMO,and the motto is bad also.
But 31 bids already, that's mean,we are wrong grin

I could not agree more and really wonder how a fake like that ends up in that auction... and received bids up to... 900 US$

shocked

Unbelievable!

Best regards,

Herman

Craig was traveling, but finally got the message, and took this one down.

It is a shame that it takes identification from the forum before this was caught. If it was not, some poor collector would have been out some bucks. Does not speak well for CG Auctions that it was not identified before posting. Ron

Agreed. I thought all items were cleared by an expert in that field. Hmmm
