I recently picked this item up as part of a Little Norway collection.

As information, Little Norway was a Royal Norwegian Air Force training camp located just outside of Toronto, Ontario from about 1942 and was used by the King Haakon government in exile and the Allies to train Air Force officers to fight against the Third Reich.

This case RAF eagle was part of the collection and I wonder if someone could point me out to what this is for and who would/could have recieved this.

John,

Can't give you any pertinent details other than my personal observation ... that is a most-impressive and beautiful badge, impeccable! Things like this are what collecting militaria is all about ... wink

Best!

This is a Royal Airforce (UK) silver sweetheart pin.
Probably given by an ardent admirer to his girlfriend.
Facimile of a pilots qualification badge which is worn on the pilots uniform left breast. The crown is the Kings crown which
dates it to WW11.Looks like the original box/maker marked or
the Retailer.Very nice and sought after.

Thnak you all for this info.

I am digging into the Little Norway collection just acquired and will be starting a separate thread on that once I have some more information.

Here is another Little Norway item I picked from e-ban. Just to whet your appetite a little.

Paul, I remember the pin... it was awesome. I forgot that it was a sweetheart pin, though.
