Hello,
I haven't posted anything in the European Edged Weapon section for a while, so I decided to share my latest find with you: a Dutch Navy dagger with distributor mark.
Hope you like it.

Thank you Jim.
No numbers have been found...
Is this distributor mark a common one?

I have never seen a distributers mark on one before.
Perhaps this explains why there are no numbers etched on the crossguard. Perhaps this is a private purchase dirk.

J. Those daggers offered without scabbard are parts daggers made from the leftover parts. Those with the scabbards are usually the real issued items, like this one.

As a general rule, you will find a number hand etched on the crossguard. This number can be used to track who it was issued to and when.
