Hi.
I need an opinion about this dagger:
Everything looks OK to me for an early / intermediate type WKC Herr dagger, but I'm worried about the grip, (I thought the grip was supposed to be dark orange) and the crossguard looks a little odd to me.
I would also like to hear opinions regarding the hangers and other accessories attached to the dagger.

Thanks in advance.

With respect
Vedran H.

Quite correct this x guard is a very rare variant attributed to WKC but quite remarkably I have seen this guard on other manufacturers daggers but very infrequently encountered it. Rest of the dagger and hardware looks OK to me but really cannot comment on the name engraved into the guard.

Landser,

The story is that the dagger was found by some Croatian workers who were cleaning an old house in Germany. But, I have heard such stories too many times, so I just do not believe these stories.

Hopefully I can find out the name of the owner, and related photos, documents.

Is it possible that the grip of the dagger can change its original color due to wearing the dagger over time?

with respect
Vedran H.

Vedran, the grip looks fine and the colours vary through all shades of orange to reds.
It is caused by the effect of light (UV)on the resin.
