Can anyone help me . . . I've been looking for a thread I beleive we used to have on Feldgendarmerie gorgets, that disussed the particular differences between original and repro gorgets, in particular whether or not original Feldgendarmerie gorgets had the centre prong in the middle of the gorget or off centre. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ~ Ian

Two quick points Bushido. The "center" prong should be off center. The gorget body and chain should be magnetic. jim

Dear Ian,
I'm sorry, but a lot of those older threads were lost. it seems the new host dumps threads after some unknown time if there is no activity. I remeber the discussion you reference, but I'm afraid it is gone.

Thank you Jim for the clsrification and thank you Bill, I rather suspected that was the case when I couldn't find the thread! Regards, ~ Ian

Most probably, unless the center prong was broken off.
