I made BIG money years back with comics and comic art. Then in the mid 1990s they took the dive.. Long time collectors hunkered down,,put them away safely and waited it out.. Values are just now starting to come back,,its been long and slow..
Anyone into stuff like this?

Thats from the famous 'Shelly' Moldoff !!
My son and I waited in line for hrs to meet him,,,them had to come back hrs later to pick it up!,,all worth it!
Heres a Hawkman on eBay right now,,a little over $500.might sell might not.. When times are good these pen and marker drawings from the late 80s/early 90s usually go for $300. to $700. depending on subject...

Into these very much Gaspare. Just like militaria, the price for high grade scarce stuff, like silver and golden age has not decreased but increased while common stuff has taken a dive. Great seeing some comics I grew up with from the 70's appreciating now. Hate how CGC is slabbing all these great books and making huge price differences over a miniscule flaw. Truely amazing seeing how the art has evolved from golden age to present.

I do not think that I want to wait for over 30 years for the military to bounce back. I will be dead by then. thanks Bob 66 and counting

Military isn't any better.. What about the collectors that bought minty silver wound badges,,or common excellent shape GABs/IABs for big money when they were 'hot' about 5 years ago. They can't even get their money back let alone a profit!
- while its true I made some good money with comics and the art,,I didn't buy for investment,,I bought because I like the stuff! In the end I made money, had a great time with my son,,and we have some nice items in our collections.
In the end all that matters is that you had a good time and your happy!
These are 'Color Guides' Simple photostats made of the original art and sent to the inker/colorist to color. Markers and water colors,,when done they wrote the color codes on for the printer.. Once $5 - $10 for an whole issue,,now about $5. to $30 a page depending on subject!
