Been into daggers and stuff for about a year and a half now and I've started taking them out for walks in the countryside and photo shoots etc. Not talking to them or anything wierd....... Yet. Is this normal?

The resized photos lost a lot of detail but the originals look great. smile

Any comments on the RAD Hewer and how to post better quality images?

It says Tholens (?) s/l Helff (T... presented it to his dear Helff). Due to the pics (Manxman, I have the same problem you have, always wonder how other members are able to load big and detailed looking pics)I am not sure about the first name.
1935 dated hewers have to be in some certain, early quality and the nice stag grip plates and the heavy silvering seems to conform.
And, yes, it would be nice to tell us (perhaps show a pic) what the maker is.

Its a Carl Krebs with Ges Gesch mark beneath the RAD triangle. I'm far from an expert but it was purchased from a very reputable auction house. Came with the full leather hanger.

I think it looks good with the oak trees in the background. There was even a buzzard flying around and the moon was high in the sky at the time.

I don't know if others have posted 'location' photos before but it makes a nice change from throwing the dagger on your bed for a photo. I'll post some of my SA soon and leave my best, the SS till last.

Any other observations please gentlemen?
