Hi all,

I had the opportunity to buy this interesting book from November 1964.
Die SS in der bundesdeutschen Justiz
Content
34 CV's
All these guys were back in business, after the war.
From a judge,attorney,district administrator,senior judge,judicial council and much more.................
Also interesting,a few numbers are shown which are not listed in any DAL.

does anyone owns or knows other examples??

I know the same book is for sale on the old brigade, but a bit too expensive.

Looks to be similar to the "Braunbuch: Kriegs-und Naziverbrecher in der Bundesrepublik". These were published in the 1960s by the East German Government or one of its mouth-pieces to highlight all the bad people in the West German government offices. Short biographies acconmpanied each listing.

Joe, I have the English edition, "Brown Book: War and Nazi Criminals in West Germany" - also West Germany's response; "Braunbuch DDR: Nazis in der DDR". Both have similar formats, i.e., short bios', pictures, TR period documents supporting the accusations.

Hi JoeW!! You would think that yes, but, its not, actualy. This SS In Der BundesDeutschen Justiz is published by a special community.

This community\organisation was by\for people that were part of National Socialism, very involved into it. The organisation published this, part of a series, that asks the question, 20 years after the war ended, if the debt of Germany, and the debt of people involved with National Socialism (so, yes, Nazis) could be considered as settled or not.

The book opens careful, with saying that warcriminals, and people that got judged "wrong" after the war, cant judge themselves as "right again". And that debt to something like the Holocaust cant ever be settled.

So, this publication (its not really a book) from ex-Nazis for ex-Nazis looks for fats and opinions on how Nazis are seen, by Germans themselves, and people from countries that surround Germany, look at Nazis at that time. About 1965.

Im actualy looking for more publications in this Schriftenreihe, but this SS is the only one I found so far. Its interesting to set beside the Nrnberg trials, and the Denazification process that took place, till about 1949.

I like the quotes on the 1st page too, so, here the top one (made with phone sorry for that);

That price is truly so ridiculous, yes!!! But, I guess, some people thing its interesting if it costs much. They forget, its the book (or thing) itself thats interesting. Try small antique bookstores in Europe, or Germany itself, some have really amazing collections online. For books like this, you probably need to proove youre adult, and say what your intention is before they sell.

True. But people judge and condemn for all the wrong reasons very often. But so it goes.

Hi Gerd, thanks!! The dagger is in here somewhere. Yes I have the book, the cover is nice to display. Just ignore the newspaper and the SS Weihnachtsbuch in the photo ..

Do you have it too? I was reading in it today, I had it here for the snapshot anyway, its very interesting, the actual meaning of this book, and the actual meaning of VVN (a tiny bit of info here), 2 very different angles, are more clear to me, this was only an Eastern Germany organisation, where Russia ruled, with links to the West, where allied ruled. Things get real messy between 1945 and 1950, groups and politics come and go.

Yes! Its in there, you"re right, I keep forgetting that, ahum .. Youre welcome for the link, too bad that book is so expensive, even the pdf is expensive. The free text there explains things very clear. Well, to me anyway. But, did you find any more books from the series? Google Books has the part 11, in a digital archive. But where is the rest? Do you know?
