I have moved a topic on an SS dagger that turned out to be a not very thinly disguised effort to sell without purchasing a Premium Menbership.

There wasn't much "thin disguising" going on. In my opening post, I wanted to gain information on how much it was worth and the best way to sell. That's exactly what I said. Because I am not a Nazi Dagger collector, I didn't come in with the purpose to sell on here and wasn't even aware that was a possibility. I just wanted to gain information. Someone asked for pics, so I posted them.

You guys are hardcore. Maybe you should try and approaching a user like myself with a two post history about the benefits of selling here and the requirements before erasing them. Could be a better business model than kicking a potential paying customer out the door and writing some accusatory post about them.

Hi Joe, unfortunately you have hit the mark with your post/comments. What you reference is all that is bad with this forum...old timers like myself continually support this site financially..the prevailing attitudes that you experienced drove away most of the "old guard" who had years of collective knowledge, expertise and experience to offer....perhaps contact Dave and explore the rules concerning posting, joining and becoming a member...it is a great avenue to market or sell your item(s) and achieve a fair price. There was perhaps a better way to deal with your situation from a PR aspect but Dave continually sees many who attempt knowingly and otherwise skirt the rules in order to advertise an item.....I am sorry for negative first impression....cheers, Ryan

Ryans right, Dave over the years has seen 100s of posts that are 'thinly disguised effort to sell'. It kind of comes automatic,, ,move them and if their innocents they'll be back, otherwise you'd be working here all the time.
Most of the members here don't see the barrages sometimes of advertisements for selling shoes and infant carriers that appear at 3:00A.M. that gets moved before the rest of the population gets on..
