Hi Goetz-
Great seeing these artifacts your forefather's made history with still remaining in a appreciative family member's hands.
Interesting that Heilbronn has been in your family's history for well over 100 years too.
Any stories your grandfather passed on to you about your great grandfather's military service?

Parts of my family are living in Heilbronn at least since 1677.
Of course my grandfather told me times ago a lot of stories about his father and his military time.
I still have some other nice items from him.

Odal, Many thanks for your post and sharing part of your family's history with us. I would consider anything related to the Marine Luftschiff Abteilung to be fairly rare, at only four or five battalions? If you have any other imperial items you could share with our forum, please do.  Very nice. Best! Bill
