Hello guys!
My friend found this piece in his odl cottage in Sudetenland. Please, is this rare or common dagger? What is the price of piece in condition like this?
Thank You!

The guard not good view. I think that good dagger, but bad conditions. The plated have a lot of missing places. Price with that condition not high. I can ask you show us number on throat scabbard and blade.

These are fairly rare, but in that condition, maybe $400-500?

It looks like one heck of a restoration job, definitely in need of serious professional help. Lots of costly man hours involved in that project. That poor crossguard looks totally kaput to me, darn shame. That would call for an entirely new hilt assembly, no?

John M., what are your thoughts on a project like this, do you think it would be cost-effective?

Best!

Bill

I think these should be left as is. It seems I'm never happy with the final result, so better to sell and use the funds toward a better conditioned piece.
