I have heard twice now on different forums that Soviet era hangers are being offered as Imperial Russian Hangers.
Attached is a file photo of Soviet era hangers similar to the original Imperial Russian and pre WWII naval dagger hangers.
The ones being offered are the later soviet era with the anchors.

Hi Jim, do you have any soviet era hangers to show as a comparison?

Hi Jim, How are you?
All these are post 1945 hangers. In 1955 lions were changed for anchors.

These are the WW2 period lions which are similar to Imperial lions. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of the Imperial hangers handy, but they are a bit different from these.

I agree these are WII era, but the only real difference I have found between the imperial and the WWII is the color of the material on the hanger backs. The lions I have seen are also a bit smaller.
I weill try and get a photo of the soviet hangers and post it.

Hi guys. Upper belt in my post is a Soviet naval belt for everyday, model 1940(good or quiet lions). Middle belt is a model 1945 (evil lions) for everyday. Lower yellow belt is a parade belt for senior officers model 1945.
pesho showed in his post a Soviet belt model 1945 (left) and an Imperial belt (right).
Kind regards, Oleg.

Hello pesho,
I am the owner of two belts with the evil lions. The owner of the belt with the quiet lions is my collector friend Sergei from Kiev. I sent him an email with a request for the larger images of the details of the belt with the quiet lions. He has promised these pictures to send to me soon. As quickly as I will these pics recieve, I will show the pics. Is it OK?
KR, Oleg.
P.S. The belt with the quiet lion was worn with 1940 pattern navy dagger (without locking button). Here a picture of the 1940 pattern navy dagger of my collection.
KR, Oleg.

Hi guys. The first email from my collector friend Sergey has arrived. Here we can see the pics of an original RIA navy belt (Russian Imperial Army). The parts of this belt are actually very similar to a soviet 1940 pattern navy belt, but we can see the difference.Sergey is currently on a business trip. Maybe could DressDaggers send the images of his soviet 1940 pattern navy belt? It will be helpfull. Best regards, Oleg.
