It emits tannin in small quantities over time and this can be corrosive. Any of the wood pieces I have that house daggers,firearms etc. are sealed on the inside and usually lined. Jim

I just really love the place and they are presently renovating all of the old town with its vivid colors. I'm certain that you would enjoy seeing the "new" Regensburg, just awesome. My wife was actually pretty happy that I was able to hide my collection in the basement. Unfortunately, it is now too small and I will have to enlarge my bunker to make room for my collection. And I thought that it was big enought just a year ago.
