Just bought a model 1910 Mauser from the veterans son. The pistol was in this holster. Anyone have an idea what pistol this holster is for.The inside flap is marked with the name Roma, so Iam thinking Italian, but it does not look like any of the Italian holsters I have had in the past. I would appreciate if someone could tell me the country of orgin and possibly the value.
Thanks
Bob

I may be wrong, but isn't the writing Dutch? fabrikaat = manufacture

My guess would be pre-war Dutch or Belgian. The full flap configuration was fairly common at that time. The metal tip on the flap looks identical to some early Browning 1922 and HP holsters I've seen or owned over the years. It would be interesting to know what the markings are that appear to have been crossed off with a felt tip marker.
This is just an uneducated guess by myself. One thing I do know for certain; it's a seldom seen and desireable holster.

I think it's Dutch too due to the brass fittings.

It looks like the tip of the flap strap is missing. These look like the same holster.

Definitely Dutch pre-WW2 , and quite rare in this condition - most were repainted black for police use after the war .
Would have fetched a lot more if that tip hadn't been missing ..!
