When I was in the army in Germany in the mid-1960's, the police had similar paddles. No Swanstucker, of course.
Those artifacts are great, we are focused on daggers, etc, but a lot of period items like this are good to see.

Hello,
Nice looking piece. Nice looking eagle. Is it painted on the tin work, or is it a decal? I know these are EXTREMELY hard to find and are reproduced in great numbers. Yours appears good to me, and appears to match regulations, although having never handled a real one it is only an opinion on my part.
Best regards, William Unland

This one is the metal version with decals, There seems to be different types of paddles, Some with a white area behind the swas. And some made of cardboard.

looks very nice , & hard to find. now for anyone wanting one , Be Very cautious ! a bid time dealer had a bunch of these 6 months ago. He never said they were original ,just used a question mark. he sold them all for big money. I thought no good, but what do I know..... I like this one a lot, very good condition too. a million years ago ,I had one that folded in half for storage in the vehical. jeff

many years ago a company called Northstar [later USM] made paddles just about like this if not exactly.. Don't know if this is one but just putting it out there.. If I can find any of my old paperwork about it I'll put it up.
