Is this British 1888 MK I and what is the meaning of marks ?

Mark I means first edition or first production
Mark IV means fourth edition or fourth change in production.

I do not know the meaning of the marks as they are not in English. It looks like perhaps a Middle Eastern Language, but I am not sure.

I would assume its a persian or afganistan markings, probably a unit or rifle marking,best regards,Andy

That's a P1903 bayonet used in India.Some P1888's were converted in India to P1903's.Can you post pic's of the marking's on the blade.
