Just received an early officer buckle in aluminum. The two-prong assembly is in aluminum. The prongs appear to also be of aluminum. The ones I've seen seem to have steel prongs. Were any originals made with aluminum prongs? I have no doubt about the buckle itself, but wonder if the assembly may have been replaced. Thanks for any help.
