Thanks,,,finaly starting to unpack my PC and get back to some writing next week,,,,,and unpacking some of my collection finally [have a good size foreign vol. collection and still have about 50 rare ID tags, and my rings for the 1st time in 4 months,,,1st batch.......

well back from a all too short vacation.. Got to get set up and get writing! Hope you all had a happy new year! Just Orthodox Christmas left [Jan.7th.]  Still unpacking from the flood. Some of this stuff I haven't seen in years! [what you guys think of that 2 place ribbon bar!]

I used to like Soviet Guard badges,,but only the early ones!
- for the tag guys,,whats the big deal about these 2 tags?
Some of my early dug pieces from the early 90s.

Thanks guys and hope everyone had a good holiday...
Some of these items I only have because of my rings! One time to buy a ring I had to buy a tunic!,,it was sold as a set and when it rrived and I took it out of the box It had the pants with it as well as the guys personal documents!!, another time the seller said the ring came with a small box,,when it came it had several Nazi medals and photos in it!
* Good eye Joe! Yeah and that is directly from a vet of the unit. He had told me it was handed to him in a plain paper envelop and that he had seen others later in the war but only his unit got it with that ribbon. He wore it once and managed to pass it off to a relative shortly after getting it..
Don't know if you noticed on the YBB jacket that ribbon bar,,for me a rare bar, only one I've ever seen. I took it off and scrutinized the hell out of it and it looks right!

I did see the ribbon bar, 2nd class in gold w. swds. I do not recall seeing another gold mounted ribbon either. Have seen at least one bar with a silver if I recall correctly, it appeared period also.
