........... Could be real ? .......... It doesn't look to me to be a fake, but what my question is: "Who used it"? That's because it looks extra deep in the images, the combined top cover-front strap looks different, and there can be a similarity with the ammo pouches used by the various nations. FP

Fred is correct , original = yes ,but Not german . not even ww2 ,but post war. more often found in black / dark brown.
Sorry I do not recall which country.
in black ,a set sells for $30.00. was a flood of these 6/7 years ago.
