I don't have any renwax[or $$$ to get any],is carnuba wax ok to preserve my edge weapons?? I have ank98 bayo,and an army dagger....I have a few helmets also, any advice is appreciated,Lenny

Hi Lenny,, For years I used S-100 detailing wax on My motorcycle and it had a combination of waxes it in from Carnuba to Beeswax. Good stuff to use and I spent about $9 on it and you can get it at any Place that sells motorcycle accessories. BUT that is a temporary fix and over time like any car wax the properties in it will wear down. So yes its ok to use Carnuba for the short term,, but for about $15 and the amount of gas you would have to use to go to the store and buy the Carnuba wax,, you can get the RenWax for $6 more! Here is a link below. That car you have in your Avatar is a beauty and i am sure its not cheap to take care of. Put that same love you have for your car into preserving your historical artifacts. A Classic can not be repeated using modern day materials. Protect what you have!

I use Bowling Alley wax myself. Yes, Carnuba!

I found out the hard way how slippery bowling alley wax was when I went onto the lane to retrieve the ball!
